FoodBizIndia began with a question: how can we make starting a food business easier to understand—and better planned?
Meet the founder ↗
I’m Nishant Vijayakumar, founder of Brownie Heaven.
I grew up in Chennai, studied hospitality at WGSHA, Manipal, and worked in professional kitchens with ITC Hotels before starting Brownie Heaven in 2015.
Building a food brand has meant working through the details every day: products, people, purchases, outlets, customer expectations and the numbers behind every sale.
FoodBizIndia grows from that experience—and from the belief that more aspiring founders should have access to practical tools before committing their time and money.
A menu affects equipment. Equipment affects space. Sales channels affect margins. A practical plan considers these relationships together.
Your budget, city, time and operating experience should shape the plan.
Useful numbers come with context. Know what is included and what still needs checking.
Resources should help you make a decision, complete a task or prepare a better brief.
Improve through experience, local inputs and feedback from the people using the platform.
Only choose a route when you actually need a conversation. Otherwise, the tools and ideas are there to explore freely.
